Young people making a difference

One of the forum’s recent successes, with the help of the Neighbourhood Renewal Fund, has been the production of a DVD explaining all about Modern Apprenticeships, answering questions such as:

  • How much do you earn?

  • What hours do you work?

  • What are your holidays?

  • What qualifications do you need?

  • What are your holidays?

  • What qualifications do you need?

The DVD features three Local Apprentices working in childcare with:

  • Springboard (training) *Sunshine Day Nursery (placement)

  • Administration with our local Primary Care Trust and

  • Engineers from NEYR UK Engineering (training) *Mecaplast (Placement)

We would like to take this opportunity to thank all of our partners and especially the pupils and staff from Shotton Hall School for working on and assisting with the production.

So if you think our DVD would benefit yourself or your friends, talk to a member of staff at your school, college, youth organization or careers advisor (regardless of your location) and ask them to contact:
